We took pics today!

 Where Tom works (for now).

A man and his dogs (outside of King Hall).

There is a cool nature area right behind Tom's building. Trixie liked it.

Max liked it too.

We found some lilacs in CiCo park. The dogs were good models.

Max tried to sniff the dandelion.

Trixie was distracted by everything around her.

And one from my trip to Kirksville over Spring Break. I went to the old college campus and saw the new science building. Very nice!

Lazy Days

She was not amused with the flash going off.

Dog Park!

Took the dogs to the dog park today. It was a balmy 60+ degrees (thank goodness!) and so nice out!

Yes, that is blood on Trixie. She ran a pad raw and is currently sporting the baby sock on that paw. She'll be fine - it looks worse in the picture than it really is.

Trixie won!

Trixie won the contest from Modern Mutt Shots and we won a free photo shoot with a big print! I'm so excited - our photographer said that we should have them tomorrow.

Check us out! We made her blog.

I need votes!

Max and Trixie are in a photo contest and I need your votes! I know I have all of about 2 loyal followers of this blog, but every vote counts!

If everyone who reads this goes to http://www.modernmuttshots.com/contest and votes for Trixie, we'll be doing so well!

And pass the word on to your friends/relatives/coworkers/neighbors/photographers/doctors/lawyers/whomever. The more votes for Trixie, the better!

Thanks!

Just a few things

Just a few things new to report:
Trixie is in heat and wearing little girl underwear so she doesn't get blood all over our house. Tom's freaked out at putting a maxipad in the undies, so I get that lovely job. Luckily, she's a good natured dog and puts up with it.
I can't wait to get her spayed - I don't like worrying about loose dogs in the neighborhood and I don't want puppies. At all. I love puppies, but I don't want to put Trixie through that (and there are plenty of puppies available in our local shelter).

I just accepted a third job (again) with the University of Phoenix. I haven't taught for them before and will actually be teaching a graduate level course in Educational Psychology (assuming what they told me is true). I'm really excited about it (I got the call on Friday) - but there is a month long training period for which I don't get paid, so that part isn't very exciting.

Other than that, not much else is new with us. Tom's still plugging away on his research/lab and I'm still loving my jobs at Wabaunsee High and Sylvan.
